•  NHS Treatment

    • Oswald House Dental Centre offers a full range of NHS treatments to patients dependant upon their commitment to maintaining oral health. NHS dental treatment includes all treatment necessary to secure and maintain your oral health.. The contract for these services is held by Dr. Patrick Carroll.

    • The NHS price structure is now determined by the changes made in April 2006 with treatment falling into three bands.

    • Please see our NHS charges page to see examples of the NHS fee structure.

    • Some treatments are not available under the NHS but your dentist will give you a fully itemised treatment plan, listing all the options available to you at the time of your check-up.

    • You may qualify for full or partial exemption from charges, please ask for advice or see our Frequently asked questions page.

  • Private Treatment

    • Patients also have the option of having private treatment. We provide a full range of private options for patients who choose to have treatment that is not available under the NHS – for example large white fillings in back teeth or cosmetic treatment such as tooth whitening. The poster in our waiting room has information about the cost of NHS treatment. Your dentist will advise you of the cost of any private treatment.

    • We also provide the following specialist services which are available on a private basis only.

      • Hygienist sessions for the cosmetic removal of tartar and staining with comprehensive oral hygiene instruction.

      • Orthodontic treatment and advice by our Consultant and Specialist Orthodontist (University of Nottingham Campus, Nottingham).

      • Implant consultations by our visiting Oral surgeon. This is a private service as the NHS do not routinely provide implant restorations.

    • We can refer you to another dentist if you require specialist treatment involving sedation, orthodontics or a home visit for people meeting qualifying criteria.

    • Any treatment required which is not available on the NHS, mainly cosmetic, will be available on a private basis. Your dentist will be happy to discuss these with you.
